It doesn’t have to be a mountain peak to be able to enjoy the splendour of the Merano countryside. There are many hiking trails from Lagundo. A good choice is an easy hike to the Parcines Waterfall or along the Alta Via Merano, where you can circle South Tyrol’s largest nature park, the Gruppo di Tessa. Whatever route you opt for, you are guaranteed a view as far as the Dolomites World Heritage Site and the imposing glaciers of the Monte Ortles.
